Publishing DNA Sequences

The Publishing Tool allows you to publish DNA sequences across Lab Groups, allowing users to access DNA sequences created by admins in specific Lab Groups.

As "admin," publishing DNA sequences looks like this:

Select DNA sequences, right-click, and click on "Publish Sequences".

Now you'll be asked to select the "Publication Target."

As a regular "member," you'll see the published sequences in the "unassigned" project, DNA sequences library with a lock that indicates they are for only-read access.

To use the "published DNA sequences," you can open them in the "plasmid editor."

To continue working with the DNA sequence, you can "duplicate" it or select and use the copy-and-paste commands to create a new one in the project of your choice.

The copy will be created in the same DNA sequences library in the "Unassigned" project, but now you can edit it and move it to your own project.

Service Accounts

This option is only available for Admin users. Before publishing, you must set up a Service Account and the Publication Target. Go to Settings > Service Account > New Service Account.

You'll get a service account email when creating a new Service Account. Copy it and save it for later.

Then select the Lab Group where you intend to publish your DNA sequences. If you want all your team members to have access to the published DNA sequences, select "Common Lab" (all shared TeselaGen entities are saved in a common lab).

Now, click on "Generate Token." You'll need it to link your publication target.

Copy it and save it for later.

Publication Targets

Now go to "Publication Management" in Settings.

To create a "Publication Target," use the service account email and token.

The base URL is your main instance's URL, for example, https://yourcompanyname.teselagen.com.

IMPORTANT: Don't miss adding https://. If not, the publication target won't be recognized.

You'll be able to see all the publication events linked to each publication target.
