Equipment Types are accessed from Admin User > App Settings > Equipment Types.

Use the 'Create New Equipment Type' button to create a new equipment type or double click on an entry to edit.

Use 'Equipment Type is Positional' to specify equipment types that have positions within or on them. One example might be your -80°C Freezers that have distinct built-in shelves.

Container types can be set up in a similar fashion. Go to Admin User > App Settings > Container Types to access the Container Types page.

Use the 'Create New Container Type' button to create a new container type, or double click on an entry to edit.

Use 'Container Type is Positional' to specify container types that have positions. One example of this might be your freezer racks, with their positional slots.

Note: Once a freezer has been recorded in the system along with its positional aspects, and once freezer racks have been registered in the system with their positional aspects, you have enough information in the system to begin setting up your freezers.
